PHIDIAS HOTEL is located in the centre of the Archaological sites, 250 m. from Acropolis, 100m. from the Ancient Market, 150 m. from Keramikos and 100m. from Metro Station (From which you may now move to EL. VENIZELOS Airport and PIRAEOUS Port.)

The hotel is located in the lovely pedestrianised road, leading to the Acropolis, which is lined with cafes, restaurants, and small shops.  You may spend your day climbing the ancient hill of the Acropolis (which is only a 5 minute walk), wandering around the small souvenir-lined streets of Plaka and Monastiraki, or you may simply choose to sit at one of the many cafes, sipping on a cool drink in the shade. 

Our hotel is named after the ancient Athenian sculptur Phidias (c. 490-430 BC), was the artistic director of the construction of the Parthenon, who created its most important religious images and supervised and probably designed its overall sculptural decoration. It is said of Phidias that he alone had seen the exact image of the gods and that he revealed it to man. He established forever general conceptions of Zeus and Athena.
