Skala Hotel is recently completed family hotel, built to traditional Patmos Island style
it is very quietly situated in its own beautiful gardens only 50 meters from the Sea.
All rooms have balconies, private facilities with bath or shower.

The Skala, located well off the street behind a lush garden overflowing with arresting pink bougainvillea, has aged like a fine wine to become our favourite lodging in this busy town. Annual improvements include the expanding garden, a large pool with an inviting sun deck and bar, a large breakfast buffer, adjustable heat in all guest rooms, additional conference an meeting facilities, and even better and more personalized service. Host Captain Grillis and his staff offer guests the kind of hospitality one expects on such a sophisticated island. Some rooms have harbor views, but you'll have to put in your request for one in advance, as they're often booked by return guests. Open April through October.

Facilities
All rooms have balconies with either sea or mountain view, private facilities with bath or shower with hairdryer, telephone, piped in music TV, mini bar and air condition. Bar and breakfast room all with terraces for those who prefer the open air. A swimming pool and pool-bar the garden completes the beauty of the environment. Skala Hotel has a recently built conference room with a capacity of 400 seats in theaters arrangement.

About Patmos

A small volcanic island in the Egean Sea, off the coast of Asia Minor, to the south of Samos and west of Miletus, in lat. 37° 20' N. and long. 26° 35' E. Its length is about ten miles, its breadth six miles, and its coast line thirty seven miles. The highest point is Hagios Elias (Mt. St. Elias) rising to over 1050 feet. The island was formerly covered with luxuriant palm groves, which won it the name of Palmosa; of these groves there remains but a clump in the valley called "The Saint's Garden". The ancient capital occupied the northern isthmus. The modern town of Patmos lies in the middle part of the island.
