History:

The founders of the Capsis Hotels chain were Thanos and Marika Capsis, two persons that left their own personal mark on the history of Greek hospitality. One generation after, all members of Capsis hotel "family" co-ordinate every move they make so as to make sure that respect to tradition and values of their "teachers" is preserved.

Capsis Bristol is located in one of the historical buildings of Thessaloniki, on the corner of Katouni and Oplopiou Street, in Ladadika quarter.
The same building hosted the post office of the city, during the years of Othomanic occupation. This building was miraculously saved from the catastrophic fire of 1917 that reduced an important part of the city to ashes.

The history of "Bristol" starts when travellers spending the night at "inns" used to share the same space with their animals. At Bristol Great Britain, the concept of modern hotels was born when, for the first time, an inn separated customers from their horses and created rooms for customers and special spaces for horses.
Therefore, the word "Bristol" is synonymous with the word inn. Tradition says that since then, every town can host only one "Bristol".

General informations:

At the two floors of Capsis Bristol hotel, there are 16 rooms and 4 suites. All rooms are named after important personalities and regions of Macedonia such as:
Filippos, Alexandros, Roxani, Olimpias, Kassandros, Antiohos, Perseus, Lysimaxos, Parmenion, Filotas, Arsinoi, Kleitos, Pella, Vergina, Antigonos, Dimitrios, Aristoteles, Krateros, Antipatros, Ptolemaios.

Rooms are "dressed" with tissues in tints of red, green and blue. The wooden parquet floors are covered with unique pieces of precious hand-made carpets. Hand-made furniture and carefully selected pieces of antiques, offer a sense of comfort and "home" ambience. All lightings, also selected antiques, are precious works of art, each one different and unique.

Double glassed windows isolate all external noises.
Leather accessories decorate room desk.
Marbles in the comfortable bathrooms where a hair dryer and a luxurious set of cosmetics create a beautiful ambience. Mini-bar, TV and pay-TV system, direct phone lines with independent internet connection, air-conditioning, safety boxes and devices for oxygen supply form the list of luxurious services demanded by the modern traveler.
Also, available to customers: 24hour room service, ironing, laundry and dry cleaning services.
Ironing and laundry services are available from Monday to Friday, with 24hour delivery.
(On Fridays clothes should be collected until 12:00)

Receptions:

Hotel reception is open on a 24-hour basis, providing services such as money exchange, ticket and excursion bookings as well as car rental.

At the reception area there are safety boxes, available at no charge to the hotel guests.

Laundry: Ironing and laundry services are available from Monday to Friday, with 24hour delivery. (On Fridays clothes should be collected until 12:00).

Fire safety: The hotel is protected with a modern fire safety system and is the only hotel in Greece that has an adjustable fire detection system in every room.

The Atrium on the center of the building, is hosting the breakfast lounge, at the balcony of the first floor.

The banqueting department staff is always there to propose you the most suitable suggestion for your private and unique event.
Crystal glasses, English china, silver candlesticks, Italian tablecloths, leather embroidered menus, are some luxury touches which make the best of impressions, right from the first minute.
